The systematization of information about Projectiology and Conscientiology started from the independent investigations of Waldo Vieira M.D. with the acquisition of a specialized library of phenomena related to lucid projection of the consciousness outside the human body (The library was founded in June of 1941 and it had over 1200 titles in 5 languages).

Projectiology was presented to the public in 1981 through the publication of the book Projections of the Consciousness: A Diary of Out-of-body Experiences by the physician and researcher of consciousness Waldo Vieira. At the same time the Center of the continuous consciousness was founded, where Dr. Vieira reunited the first researchers of the conscious projection using the Consciential Paradigm.

In 1986 Projectiology was proposed through the publication of the scientific treatise entitled Projectiology: A Panorama of Experiences of the Consciousness Outside the Human Body, by Waldo Vieira`s authorship. This international reference treatise served as a way to facilitate the foundation of The International Institute of Projectiology-IIP by Waldo Vieira and his group of researchers on January 16th  of 1988.

Since its foundation, the Institute has counted on a group of volunteers from a wide range of human knowledge to administration work, research and education. At the beginning the activities were accomplished in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo, but they were fastly spread to the majority of the Brazilian capitals and other cities.

In 1992 IIP started its international expansion through Buenos Aires( Argentina) assisting over 7 countries in North America and Europe until 2002. In May of the same year, the International Offices started being administrated by IAC (International Academy of Consciousness) maintain only Buenos Aires Office.  Montevideo Office (Uruguay) was created in 2004.

The growing interest in the several investigations in this area allowed in 1994 the publication of the second treatise proposing Conscientiology as the science to study the consciousness-projective phenomenon agent. The treatise “700 Conscientiology Experiments” is the result of almost 4 decades of independent research done by Dr.Waldo Vieira. This book was launched in the main Brazilian cities and in Frankfurt book fair (Germany) in September. In the same year, IIP changed its name and became IIPC (International Institute of Projectiology and Conscientiology).

In 1998 The IIPC was recognized by the Brazilian Government as being an institution of federal public utility through decree of May 25 th published in the Official Diary of the Union.

In December of 1999 Dr. Waldo Vieira transferred the presidency of IIPC to Alexander Steiner, physician and researcher of Projectiology and Conscientiology Sciences. In 2004 the moving of IIPC World headquarters was done to Iguassu Falls (Brazil) in order to form a research Complex of Investigation in Conscientiology. Also in October of 2004, the IIPC changes its forms of juridical organization to association working administratively with committee and collegiate system straightening out the decisions and responsabilities .

In 2006, the economist and researcher of Projectiology and Conscientiology Marcelo Silva was elected to be the IIPC general coordinator through the 18 th IIPC general Assembly. Among the current projects is the development of all the Educational centers of Self- Research and the construction of the Research Campus of Parapedagogy in Iguassu Falls. Besides, regarded to to the geographical position bording three countries, IIPC promotes activities with institutions in the neighbor countries trying to expand the Consciential Paradigm.

Waldo Vieira `s Biography

Born on April 12, 1932 in Monte Carmelo in the state of Minas Gerais Brazil, Waldo Vieira is a physician and dentist, author of 3 treatises, 20 books and several hundred articles. Dr. Vieira is a long-standing member of the most important international Associations for parapsychic research of the world.

Dr. Vieira has developed techniques which have been effective to help individuals to have out-of-body experiences using their own will.

He has also studied spiritual surgeries cases in Brazil, Filipines and Europe. His private library has over 65 thousand books and it is one of the largest collections in the world on the theme of consciousness and out-of-body experience. His large paranormal experiences include lucid projections since he was 9 years old.

He put forward the Sciences of Projectiology and Conscientiology to investigate the multidimensional manifestation of the consciousness.
The treatises Projectiology: A Panorama of Experiences of the Consciousness Outside the Human Body, 1986 and 700 Conscientiology Experiments ( no English Version) are the two books that base the new sciences.

In 1988, Dr. Vieira and a group of researchers founded the International Institute of Projectiology (IIP) and in 1994 became the International Institute of Projectiology and Conscientiology (IIPC) which is a non-profit institution dedicated to the development and dissemination of the sciences of Projectiology and Conscientiology.

Currently, Dr. Vieira and his team of researchers are in the city of Foz do Iguaçu( Paraná-Brazil) working on the Encyclopedia of Conscientiology which will collate thousands of items relating to the broad universe of the consciousness.
